On the 22nd of November, we finally threw our official 10-year birthday party at our homeplace, Husk Farm Distillery. A decade of Ink.Under the stars.Exactly how it should be. The theme for the event was 'glitz & spritz'. We wanted a little bit of retro vintage, beautiful wobbly jelly shots and fun party food. On the menu was spring crudité, caviar crisps served in a chip packet, freshly shucked gin soaked oysters and of course smashed cheeseburgers. We had pop up bars serving negronis, martinis, G&Ts and spritzes. No one went thirsty. No one went hungry. We had DJ Mutcespo spinning vinyl well into the night. All our guests contributed to a big collaborative 'birthday card' painting, which is now hanging in the Ink Gin Gallery at the distillery forevermore.    Pulling this party together was a real family effort. Youngest sissy Claudia made all the decorations, mirror ball-ing everything she could find. Edwina baked two INCREDIBLE cakes, complete with rosella gin jan & butterfly pea cake. Check them out below, they are seriously impressive.  After Harriet said a few words, we raised a glass to ten years of Ink Gin, the people, the place, and the journey so far. Yes, we are serious.  Our fourth 10th birthday giveaway is here, we’re heading from our Cafe '94 morning matcha collab straight into a nighttime cocktail mood. On Friday 14 November, our fave local bar - Rosella’s in Burleigh Heads will launch a limited-edition Ink Gin cocktail inspired by spring in full bloom - and by Aussie icon Ken Done. Think bright, artistic, and effortlessly coastal. We teamed up with the total sweethearts at ’94 Café Palm Beach to shake things up and celebrate 10 years of Ink Gin with a very special collab and giveaway. Together we created the Ink Butterfly Pea Matcha - a dreamy matcha made with our hero gin botanical, that was as photogenic as it was delicious. To launch the special we gave away the first 50. With lines out the door and big birthday energy, we loved this collaboration. Couldn’t make it to the launch? Don’t stress - the Ink Butterfly Pea Matcha will be on the menu at ’94 all July. Our former Ink Gin Resident Artist, Brian Connolly, has just moved in... Again! In 2022, Brian made history by winning the first-ever Ink Art competition. His winning artwork, “Some Place Else”, was part of his remarkable Face Towards the Sun collection. Now, Brian is back with a brand-new exhibition that is gracing the walls of the Ink Gallery at Husk Farm Distillery -The Heart of the Garden. A Glimpse Into 'The Heart of the Garden' Brian Connolly’s latest solo exhibition, The Heart of the Garden, offers an exploration of the profound connection we share with nature. The exhibition is an invitation to step into a world of peace, stillness, and reflection - qualities that nature offers in abundance. Inspired by the serene beauty of Bundjalung Country, also known as Byron Bay, where Brian resides in the tranquil hinterlands, this collection captures the lush landscapes and the calming beauty that surround him. Nature as a Muse: Inspiration from Byron Bay’s Hinterlands The exhibition draws its inspiration from the natural wonders of Byron Bay, where the forest meets the sea. In this paradise, Brian finds himself surrounded by an endless source of wonder, peace, and serenity. His artwork reflects the contemplative moments he experiences in nature - moments of reflection and quiet meditation that often go unnoticed in our fast-paced lives. Each piece in The Heart of the Garden embodies the stillness and beauty of nature, inviting the viewer to pause and reconnect with their inner peace. To mark the launch of this year’s Ink Art Competition, our incredible 2022 winner Brian Connolly is hosting a pop-up solo exhibition at Husk Farm Distillery from now until the end of August.

Words by Ink Gin Co-Founder Harriet  A couple of weeks ago, our social media coordinator and I flew to Sydney to meet this year’s Ink Artist, Karina Jambrak. The trip almost didn’t happen, thanks to a series of minor disasters—including last-minute venue and flight cancellations, and subsequent hire car drama. (Let’s not mention how we almost missed our second flight because we got too caught up enjoying an Ink G&T in the airport bar... the stress is still a little too real!) When we finally arrived at the little studio in Potts Point, it was an absolute blast. Karina is such a joy to be around! We had heaps of fun shooting photos and videos of her painting and shaking up martinis. Let me tell you—she is an absolute martini pro! The standout moment? When Karina unfurled her breathtaking original artwork, Black Cockatoos in Sydney Harbour. It is a showstopper. We can’t wait to display the original in the Ink Gin gallery at the distillery. Before we wrapped up the day, Karina shared a story about how she used to sell her paintings at Bondi markets while dreaming of one day sharing her art with the world. Seeing her artwork now on bottles of Ink Gin, reaching gin and art lovers far and wide, felt like a full-circle moment. It’s these little connections—between creativity, craft, and community—that make every bottle of Ink Art Gin so special. 2000 bottles of Ink Art Gin x Karina Jambrak are now available online and at selected bottle shops.
