Hello there!

We make Ink Gin on our family farm.

Since 2015, we've been making gin different. Scroll down to read the story of how our Founder Paul invented the world's first, all natural, colour changing gin.

Our Story

Ink Gin

The Early Days

Make gin different.

We sold the family home and moved to the country with a dream to make unconventional spirits that reflected the land.

Ink Gin started with a single question – how can we make gin different?

We added colour.

The answer turned up in the garden – a little flower with a big personality. Butterfly pea.

Exotic, inky blue, and a bit of a show-off. Add tonic, and it pulls off the ultimate party trick – turning from deep indigo to bright blush pink, like magic.

So, we bottled it up. Added 12 other botanicals – zesty lemon myrtle, sweet orange, warm pepper berry – and rolled the dice. The gin world had never seen anything like it.

"What is that gin?"

Ink hit the shelves and the world took notice.

Some unexpected celebrity endorsements sent us viral, and we scrambled to keep up with demand.

2015-2017

From the Little Green Shed to the world.

Family and friends pitched in, hand-filling bottles, sticking labels and stacking cases in a tiny farm shed that felt more like a sauna in summer and a fridge in winter.

We sold out – three Christmases in a row. Did it nearly break us? Maybe. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

Australia’s No. 1 Luxury Gin

We built a bigger, better distillery on our farm, doubled down on our quality processes, and kept creating gins that taste as beautiful as they look.

Today Ink is still made 100% on our farm, and sipped around the world.
