Places to visit once we’re back in action post-floods!

The 2022 Floods have had devastating impacts to our beautiful home, the Tweed Valley - and beyond.

While local business owners work tirelessly to rebuild their livelihoods, we thought we’d share some of our favourite local gems - that will need a lotta love when they re-open.

In no particular order, we are proud to present to you…

  1. Knox & Co Murwillumbah - a heavenly book shop that’ll captivate you once you enter it’s emerald green exterior. The perfect place to zone out, while you find your next book.

  2. House of Gabriel Tumbulgum - Discover the unique riverside location and gardens under the beautiful wisteria vines, whilst sipping on a cup of tea and fresh baked goods. Alternatively, you can enjoy a delightful high tea featuring crowd favourite, fluffy scones.

  3. Livi Murwillumbah - Set in the Art Deco building of Murwillumbah’s Art Precinct, Livi is a small neighbourhood restaurant run by a passionate team who all share a mutual love of food, wine and good times. The menu is to die for.

  4. Kat Harvey Cheese - a specialty cheese shop located in the M|Arts precinct. Kat’s cheese is out of this world. A must.

  5. Cubby Bakehouse - bloody great bread. Magnificent pastries. Top notch coffee. Situated opposite the picturesque Tweed River.

  6. Paradise Living Co Murwillumbah - a cane lovers dream… think luxe coastal furnishings and island resort vibes. A must see for anyone wanting to add a touch of the tropics to their home.

  7. Rosa Studio and Gallery - a space dedicated to skateboarding and the artists it has produced to acknowledge the creativity that has shaped the industry and culture over the decades. Their aim is to hold a space which embodies the union of skateboarding and art.

  8. M|Arts Precinct - a vibrant arts precinct in the heart of Murwillumbah. Artist’s studios, artisan retailers and exhibition spaces. A lovely little artsy haven that you will simply love fossicking through!

  9. Tweed River House – the magnificently restored century old grand river house evokes the gentler pace of the Northern Rivers, where you can dine enjoying river views under the pressed tin ceilings.

  10. And last but not least, Husk Farm Distillery. Located on the family farm in Tumbulgum, stroll through the grounds, stay for cocktails and a bite to eat, or book a ticketed tour or experience, all whilst enjoying uninterrupted views of Mt Warning.
