Cocktail Recipe: Two’s Company

This cocktail is made with both Ink Gin and Ink Sloe & Berry Gin. Our two Australian gins join forces in this recipe to create a tall cocktail with a stunning pink colour and luxurious taste.

Ink Sloe & Berry Gin is a sloe style gin liqueur. Liqueurs are often used in cocktails to impart sweetness and a depth of flavour that can’t be as easily achieved when using the basic cocktail trio of spirit, acid (normally lemon or lime juice) and sugar.

Sloe gin is a traditional English gin liqueur which can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or mixed into cocktails. We designed Ink Sloe & Berry Gin to mix simply with tonic as well - 1:1 is a good ratio, you don’t want to drown out the gin!

These two Australian gins pair beautifully when mix together into a cocktail - Ink Gin is dry with citrus & pepper notes, and Ink Sloe & Berry Gin is sweeter with a rich rhubarb tartness.

Two’s Company

Ingredients

  • 30ml Ink Gin

  • 30ml Ink Sloe & Berry Gin

  • 20ml lemon juice

  • 20ml sage infused simple syrup

  • 20ml egg whites (swap with aquafaba for a vegan option)

  • ~50ml soda water

  • Rosella dust

Add ingredients into a cocktail shaker without ice and shake for about 10 seconds until well combined and aerated. This is called dry shaking and allows the liquid and egg white to emulsify, creating a bigger and more fluffy egg white foam on top of the cocktail.

Add ice to the shaker and shake again - hard - until the shaker is very cold to touch.

Double strain the contents of the shaker into a glass. Top it off with some soda, adding it slowly.

Garnish with an edible flower and a sprinkling of rosella dust.

Serve immediately & enjoy.

DID YOU KNOW: Rosella is one of the main botanicals in Ink Sloe & Berry Gin!
