We're Hiring: Area Sales Manager QLD & N NSW

Husk Distillers, Australia’s first and only Agricole Rum producer and makers of Ink Gin (No. 2 Australian gin by market share), is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to build sales and distribution networks in both the on and off Premise channels from Yamba to Cairns.

The successful candidate will be a “business to business” sales professional who has a proven track record and established network of contacts in the region. The candidate will be able to prospect target accounts for new business, maintain an existing territory as well as establish and work with industry partners. You will take performance to the next level, increasing volume, revenue, profitability and market share for Husk Distillers and our customers.

You will be accountable for managing and implementing our regional sales strategy and co-ordinating on-the-ground sales, promotions and events. You will report to the National Sales Manager and with him develop sales targets, identify key sales strategies, manage and monitor a detailed sales database through a CRM and measure the success of these strategies.

Broad knowledge and passion for craft distilling, a strong background in sales of alcoholic beverages and a good understanding of spirits and the cocktail culture is essential.

This is a newly created position with an emerging force in the distilled spirits industry, which until now has relied largely on organic growth to achieve its market status. As such, this role offers the right candidate an enviable opportunity to grow sales, profitability and market share. This role could potentially grow into a Regional Sales Manager position. 

Essential Experience

  • Minimum three years’ high-level achievement in Sales Business Development & Area Management roles, servicing both On & Off premise sales channels.

  • At least one years’ experience working as a cocktail mixologist. (or equivalent work experience)

  • Proven experience identifying growth opportunities and developing sales strategies.

  • Ability to successfully execute strategies to get results.

This is an autonomous role. The successful candidate may live in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast, however should be able to work from home if based in Brisbane. Regular travel across the region will be required, with some overnight stays.
