Must Visit: Elements of Byron
The concept of the newly opened Elements of Byron is to capture and celebrate the four elements – earth, air, fire and water – of Byron Bay. The clever architecture of the resort highlights these founding elements with open outdoor spaces, a fire pit, views to rainforest and a large infinity pool. We’ve been lucky enough to watch this resort and spa evolve through construction, and the end result is something very special.
As you walk through the reception, the restaurant and pool opens up in front of you, complete with roaming drinks waiters, hanging lounges and a distant path running down to Belongil Beach.
The resort’s philosophy is to ensure everyone enjoys the beautiful facilities, including the locals. Non-guests can indulge at the bars and the restaurant, and take a stroll through the gardens to the wide stretch of beach that runs along the resort. With views across the bay to the iconic Byron Bay lighthouse it’s a relaxing after-dinner walk, and with plans to open up a public beach bar in motion soon this quiet stretch of beach will be even sweeter.
Big supporters of local produce, you’ll find Ink Gin behind each bar as one of the few gins they serve in their exclusive range. You’ll also find miniature 50ml Ink Gin bottles in the mini bar of each of the luxurious private villas, along with delicious snacks from other local legends including Brookfarm.
